| In winning "ELITE" status, Wunder placed 4th out of over 40 mares performance tested in the 1998 Hanoverian inspection tour. The judges' first comment: "THIS IS EXACTLY THE KIND OF MARE WE'RE LOOKING FOR." She was scored "8" for her spectacular jumping ability, and her overall score was 7.6. At her first dressage show (spring 1998: USDF Dressage at Canterbury) she scored 74 at training level; her "low" score thus far: 66. Not bad for a jumper mare with flat hunter movement! Wunder has taken time off from her training to give us Wunder-ful babies: Don Rudolfo (1999), by Elite Hanoverian Stallion and Grand Prix jumper DON ALFREDO, Graf Gunnar (2000) by Graf Gotz, and Soiree SQF by SIR CALETTO. All have inherited their mother's perfectly flat movement and enthusiasm for jumping. Wunder is a powerhouse, bold jumper with naturally perfect form. Her only problem over a jump: she occasionally snaps her knees up so hard, she hits herself in the jaw. She is jumping 4'6" under saddle. Her babies are winning at Devon and Wellington.
