Séance SQF. Well, what would YOU name a filly born early on Friday the 13th??
Seance was SPECTACULAR today (8/29/2007) at the Hanoverian inspections! The
judges went ON and ON about her, and called her back for the filly championships.
She came in second by an eyelash (unfortunately had no gas left in the tank when
asked to T-R-O-T ONE MORE TIME during the championship round). But she was
an ANGEL in the ring!
I was hoping for at least one filly in 2007; I got TWO: Santeria (out of SPS
Withney) and Séance (out of SPS Rose).
I will keep Séance for my next generation of broodmares. She has already started
lunging (November, 2009), and is proving to be cooperative, smart and mostly eager
to please. And OH, MY - that HIND END!!!
One day, when Séance was being a bad little girl, one of the barn workers said "I
guess this is what we get for naming her after the devil"! But devilish behavior is
not allowed here, and Séance is learning to behave like a perfect little lady (if
somewhat of a princess). This little girl will go to the top as a performance horse or
as a foundation broodmare.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Séance is very correct in conformation and movement. She is absolutely exquisitely refined, and WOW that beautiful face! My best current guess is that she will mature to 16.1 hands. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have decided to keep this filly, put her
under saddle and take her to the 2010 fall
Hanoverian inspections for her studbook
inspection and performance testing. She
will be bred to a 2011 foal.
