Con Bravo SQF 2004 gelding Contendro x SPS Withney by Wolkenstein II
|
Bravo came over from Germany 'en utero' when I decided to upgrade my mare band to the absolute top. His momma, SPS Withney, scored an overall 8 in her studbook inspection in Germany, 8's on her gaits and a 9 on her free jump. These scores place my sweet mare in the top 1% of all Hanoverian mares in the good ol' US of A, and document that she is equally talented for dressage or jumping.
When Bravo's sire, Contendro, participated in the stallion testing in Adelheidsdorf, he was the winner with a total of 144.72; Jumping 147.29 and Dressage 131.09 ~ also a great balance between these two fundamental disciplines. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bravo is SOLD and has moved to Colorado! Why do my horses keep moving to great
vacation spots? Oh, well, I'll have to cope somehow. Maybe I can visit Bravo during ski
season?
If you've read my blogs about Bravo below, you know that I often have said his greatest
strength is his even disposition. WELL, when Kacy and Allison came to meet him, they were
on a very tight schedule. As a result, they test rode him in a CRASHING, BASHING Florida
thunderstorm. Torrential rain, lightening, the works. Bravo, who had never worked in the
rain before, was a complete champ. On one huge thunder clap, his head came way up, but
when Allison pushed him forward, he framed right up and went calmly back to work. I could
see him thinking "Well, I guess she knows what she is doing?!"

Bravo is coming along just perfectly. He is light in the bridle, has a magnificent work ethic
and simply excels at the profession he was born for. Uncomplicated from the get go, quiet
and eager to please. He is such a sweetheart! As you watch the videos, you will see how
spectacular he is, but his BIGGEST strength is his even temperment.
He is calm and sensible under saddle; Maya (my trainer) reports that he will be an easy-going
horse ~ just hop on him and he'll take care of you. He has the natural suppleness and spring
for dressage and wonderful ground covering gaits. And if you know Maya, well, you know
she gives her straight opinion on every horse, and doesn't sugar coat it either.
Bravo is mentally and physically sound, and ready to find his lifetime partner. This boy will
be noticed in the show ring, plus give you all the love and nuzzles you could possibly want.
